WHY WE CREATED THE LODGE

OUR STORY
We didn't want to simply create somewhere to eat. We wanted to create a home where friends could come together for supper. A place to settle in, share good food, open a bottle of wine, tell stories and stay awhile.
We wanted to recreate the feeling of the places we grew up loving in Britain — the country houses, coastal homes and lodges where people gathered after a day outdoors.
We wanted The Lodge to feel like somewhere you've discovered — a place that feels familiar and welcoming, but with something new to notice every time you visit.
KICK OFF YOUR WELLIES
Leave the world at the door. Here, hospitality isn't just a service; it's a feeling. We invite you to shed the day's responsibilities, sink into your seat, and let us take care of everything else.
Relax. Settle in. Stay awhile.
CHAPTERS OF THE HOUSE

We've always loved houses that reveal themselves slowly — where every room has its own character, and every corner has something to discover. That's how we imagined The Lodge.
Each room has its own personality, inspired by different parts of the English country home, but together they are all chapters of the same house - The Front Room, The Garden Room, The Snug, The Oyster Room
ONE HOUSE.
MANY STORIES.
Every element of The Lodge has been chosen to tell a part of our narrative. From the reclaimed oak tables to the vintage chic fixtures, we believe that the environment is just as vital as the ingredients. It is in this house that new friendships are forged and old ones are celebrated. We are simply the curators of the space where your stories happen.
When you dine with us, we'll choose the room that best suits your party and the evening ahead.
It's part of the experience — allowing us to create the right atmosphere and make the most of each room. You don't need to choose where you sit. Just come in, settle down and let us take care of the rest.
A HUGE THANK YOU
Thank you to all our friends who have supported us on this adventure.
Special, heartfelt gratitude goes to Sara & her team at Bizarre Bazaar, who worked tirelessly to bring our eclectic vision of British hospitality to life. From the curated furniture and fabrics to the tiny treasures and unexpected details, she transformed our ideas into the soulful home you see today.
To our community, our incredible farmers, local fishmongers, and every guest who enters our doors: you are the heart of The LB Lodge. We are eternally grateful for your support in realizing this vision.
MADE SLOWLY. MADE BY HAND. MADE TO LAST.
We believe there is a unique magic in gathering around a table that carries its own story.
Ours were handcrafted by the Old German Baptist Brethren, a community whose legacy is defined by faith and masterful craftsmanship. Each piece is built from reclaimed hardwood and weathered barn oak sourced from historic structures, resting upon iron bases hand-forged by a master blacksmith. We intentionally cherish the knots and natural imperfections that speak to the timber’s past. Created slowly and with deep purpose, these tables are made to last, offering a rich history that now becomes an enduring part of our own.
IF YOU LOVE SOMETHING YOU SEE
Whether it's the character of the wood or the soul of the space, we're happy to share the hands that crafted our second home.

A HOME WHERE FRIENDS DINE
After all, a home is only as warm as the people who fill it. We welcome you to join our table, share a meal, and become a part of the Lodge's continuing story.
